Default HP PSC 2210 and XP Pro

I am also having problems with my HP PSC2210 and XP
Home. Get nothing but a variety of error messages when
trying to print, reinstalled the driver but still no
luck. I had to order an updated driver from HP on a CD
since I could not download anything from their website
also. The updated driver cost $17 to have it shipped to
me but won't arrive until around March 10, 2004 because
it is back-ordered (probably because nobody can get one
from their website). I doubt that the new driver will
solve my problem, though. I spent many hours trying to
fix this printer problem with no luck and I haven't been
able to find anything anywhere on any website to help.
I'll let you know if I find anything or if my new driver
solves the problem.

-----Original Message-----
I am having issues with installing the drivers for my

PSC
2210. I have tried the download from the HP website,

from
my original disk and now from a new disk from HP. It

gets
to a point a bombs out. There is no driver available

from
Microsoft. The wizard seems to be searching for files
(drivers maybe?) and says it is unable to find them and
asks me to supply the disk. The disk is already in the
drive. It looks and then says it can't find the files.
HP recommended that I update my via chipset software

which
I did, but it does seem to help. This printer worked

for
many months then after a problem with a the cartridge
(which should not have caused this issue) it stated it
needed the software reinstalled. Ever since then, it

has
not worked. I have installed and reinstalled the

drivers
about 20 times and nothing. This sucks...PLEASE HELP
.
