my win xp works very slow after i installed service pack 1


it takes a minute to come up after entering my password


why?


please help!

Did you have antivirus running on the machine when you installed? Does
removing the service pack allow the machine to work more quickly? If so,
remove the SP, disable AV and reinstall.

Sindac,

Take a look at the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles. After
reviewing, I suggest looking into 316434 and using msconfig.exe to
troubleshoot the issue.
