Default Resizing C and D drives

My capacity of my C drive [system] is 10GB and my D drive [data] is 27GB.
Can anyone tell me how to make the C drive bigger and D drive smaller,
because C is nearly full? I have tried using EXTEND in DISCPART as advised
in Help, but it didn't work.

You can only use extend if the space beyond the partition in question is
not in any use - something that very rarely arises. You could use third
party software (PArtition Magic 8 or BootIT NG, from
http://www.BootitNG.com , but at those sizes I would leave the
partitions and approach the matter by moving data to D:. In particular,
move My Documents etc - open a window on
C:\Documents and Settings\username\ to show it; and one on D: and then
*right* drag it across, taking *Move* here., similarly other 'My'
folders

Also move Temporary Internet FIles (Control Panel - Internet Options,
click its Settings, take Move folder) and Outlook Express's storage -
OE, Tools - Options - Maintenance, click Store Folder.

You're welcome. Be sure to do a best price search on the Web for
Partition Magic. I've seen version 8.0 for as low as $29.95 which
includes a full install CD and manual. Good luck.
