Default quick launch taskbar

i am having trouble with my quick lauch taskbar. after running spybot and
adaware to rid my computer of spyware, i must have inadvertently deleted a
file having to do with quick launch. now everytime i restart my computer it
disappears. i have to go into "settings" and "toolbars" and re-check the box
for quick launch. this happens everytime my computer is restarted. PLEASE
HELP. i LOVE my quick launch bar and its a pain to have to re-select it and
organize it all the time!! THANKS

Check if you have this directory, if not create it:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USER NAME]\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Quick Launch settings are not saved; Search Assistant Toolbar in Taskbar:

Default quick launch taskbar

Right-click on the task bar and choose "Lock the Taskbar"-

If it's already ticked, untick it, reboot, then tick it again.. see if
that works.
