I currently own windows xp and can only get to 37% on the

Do you really think the CD is no good?
Are you trying to upgrade or do a fresh install? Have you run the Microsoft Windows XP compatibility check program? Upgrades can fail, especially if they are being installed over a flawed OS. Install can also fail if the machine has incompatible components. "steve" wrote in message ... Have you tried running the install from the bootable CD?
