Default USB printer - LPT1 assign

Here is what I would try. Share the printer out and then
capture it with an lpt port from a command prompt. ie

Share the printer out as HP or some other name.
then:

Startruncmd.exe
type the following in the command prompt:

net use lpt1: \\{your_computername}\HP

This should work

Dear Friends or any helper ,

I just bought a new HP PSC2210 which is ONLY USB

connecting .

I still use some MS-DOS "old" programs, that NEED an LPT1

for printing.

So, how do I assign the USB to print as LPT1 .

I am using WinXP Pro ver.

Thank You,
.
