xp updates
just wondering...
i work in a corporate type setting... bandwidth is at a premium at some of our sites due to the fact that they can be very remote, dialup is the best we can get and even that is lucky to connect sometimes above 36kbps. As you might imagine keeping systems patched has been a bit of a challenge. I stumbled across xp autoupdater a few weeks ago and have only had limited time to test it, but from what I have seen so far its pretty cool. Just wondering what other people use, if anything, to get around this type of issue? Ideally, is there any software avail.. or does anyone have any experience taking a large number of pacthes and recompiling them into one big .msi installation? |

If you're in a corporate type setting, then on a Windows Domain? If so, check out WSUS - it's free from our friends at Microsoft. Only download the patch once for everyone. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...s/default.mspx www.FreeComputerConsultant.com |
