HI-SPEED USB Device Plugged into non-HI-SPEED USB Hub
Hi, what is a USB 2.0 cable? Supposed to be all the same. Unless you have to
use a better cable. "Doron Holan [MS]" wrote in message ... how long is the cable? USB has a 6 foot limit distance from hub to device -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Please reply to newsgroups only. "Chris" wrote in message news:WISTb.84145$U%5.450140@attbi_s03... Well, the error started again, so apparently it is not the cable...I do not know where to go from here! "Chris" wrote in message news:OHATb.212353$na.345342@attbi_s04... Well, it appears that the USB cable that was supplied with the scanner was NOT USB 2.0. I went out and purchased a USB 2.0 cable and it works fine. I spoke with HP, and they just said they would send me a cable at no cost. I said "shouldn't a USB 2.0 scanner come with a USB 2.0 cable?" They had no answer. "Chris" wrote in message news:bp9Tb.204041$na.335322@attbi_s04... I have a System running Windows XP Pro with all patches and updates applied. The motherboard is an ASUS P4S8X. It has USB 2.0 ports. When I try to update the drivers for the USB, it says that the drivers are already installed. The problem is when I plug in a USB 2.0 device I get the message"HI-SPEED USB Device Plugged into non-HI-SPEED USB Hub" I have tried updating the drivers as stated above but it keeps telling me that they are already there. Any suggestions? |

The message will at least be gone |
