Well, technically you can use NTFS on Floppy Disks and maybe Flash
drives, but I think those would fit under the same catagory as the
harddrive. I just had to post and say hi to Miss P

If you format a CD-RW/DVD-+RW media with Ahead's InCD (Nero) or Roxio's Drag
to Disk(DirectCD), then the media is in UDF format. UDF format is used so
that you read/write/rewrite files to the disks.

I've read this several times and it makes no sense. UDF = Universal Disc
(though I have seen Data used) Format and is a formatting applied to
writeable optical media. NTFS is a formatting applied to fixed disks (i.e.
hard drives). Just as formatting a fixed disc in UDF is impossible, thus

the
reverse is also true - you cannot format a removable disc either NTFS or
FAT.

Could you please post back and clarify what, exactly, it is you're
attempting?

For more information on UDF see

Erm, no you can't. Floppies use FAT12 and you cannot use NTFS on removable
media. Now do bugger off, there's a good moron.

NTFS can be used on floppies. Microsoft simply chose not to allow that
option with Windows. Try this program:
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...fsfloppy.shtml

Why should I bugger off and who's the moron?

Well, I am NOT sorry to say that you are wrong, as Nathan, in the short =
time he has been posting here, has shown knowledge about PCs in hardware =
and software, light years ahead of your gormless arse!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
------------------
Nathan, if it means anything to you, to show this =A2=FCnt doesn't know =
her arse from a hole in the ground, the bint says one must have packet =
writing software installed on their PCs, to have the ability to simply =
add (not delete) more files to an existing CDR or CDRW. She has not once =
told an itinerant poster here that told her otherwise, that he was wrong =
probably because she typically plonks people that correct her when she =
is wrong.

She also is gracious enough to get on others for improper spelling and =
bad grammar, yet she violates her owns words.

Ask her what a "Clumberland Spaniel" is (she stated this is a breed of =
dog, but it doesn't exist). Also ask her what a "brancell" is.
