Default XP peformance is worse than Millenium ??

Why don't you try running Defrag?

-----Original Message-----

I recently upgraded (fresh install) to XP from Millenium
and my performance is worse, not better. I have a 1.7ghz
comp w/1gig ram. Performance meter is pegged at 98-100%,
paging at the top, too.

On ME, I could run 2 instance of a MMORPG, Dark Age of
Camelot, almost flawlessly. I could have a character on
one account 'stick' to a character on the second account
and run them around the world without coming 'unstuck'.
Now I can't go more than 10 seconds before they unstick.
As the land passes beneath a characters feet it becomes
jittery. Actually, alot of the game is just plain
jittery. The sound is trashed when I switch windows
(wasn't before)and appears to try to play the music from
both instances of the game simutaneously with only one
window current.

Any ideas?

I have reinstalled all drivers and programs.
