You need to read the documentation that came with the PC or contact Emachine

With HP recovery cds,one cd formatted hd only,option 2,let you formatt &
reinstall OS,other cd had remainder of OS to install.Try booting to cd,see what the menu says,or go to mfg web site,or read owners manual... Don't forget that a format will effectively remove all data, so you should ensure you have verified backup copies of anything that you want to keep for your reinstalled system - not forgetting to ensure that it's all virus-clean, too. |
