My computers runs slowly after 9 pm every night
What processes start about that time every night?
Follow this link: http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/slowcom.htm If a process starts at 9:00PM, step 12 may help you determine exactly what it is. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/ "bram wouters" wrote in message ... What do I do???? |

Any corresponding entry as a Scheduled Task? Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Scheduled Tasks. Jupiter has given a number of avenues to explore. Another Tool is Task Manager accessed by Ctrl+Alt+Del. Task Manager is useful but you could look at another freeware utility Process Explorer, which provides similar information but adds that little bit extra towards seeing what the running processes represent. For further information about Process Explorer see he http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr.../procexp.shtml Do you have a Firewall installed? Are there any signs of modem activity? ~~~~~~ Hope this helps.
