Default Disk Cleanup won't run properly

When I try to do a disk cleanup on my desktop, the disk cleanup does the
analysis, but won't complete the function, displaying the message.

Cannot load 'Central.dll'

How do I go about correcting this issue?

Has McAfee been installed on the computer.

If still on the computer try uninstalling and reinstalling McAfee

Select Start, Run, type "regedit" without quotes and click on OK. Place
the cursor on My Computer and using Edit, Find and search for
"central.dll". What do you find? Copy the key and post back the details.

Select Start, Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs and see if you have
McAfee Anti-Spyware listed. If it is click on Remove and see if it
removes central.dll.

You say you do not have McAfee. Are you sure it was part of a bundle of
software offered when you bought the computer.

Default Disk Cleanup won't run properly

I did have McAfee, but had uninstalled it for Norton because it (McAfee) was
having issues.

At the moment, the only thing that is showing up in the Add/Remove Programs
list for McAfee is McAfee QuickClean 4.0. I left it in there since I am not
sure whether I should try uninstalling that or not.

Sorry to tell you, but you are talking about the two worst anti-virus
programs available: Norton (the worst) and McAfee (only slightly
better).

I recommend NOD32, if you are wiling to pay for an anti-virus product,
or Avast, if you want a free one.
