Printers are off line - why?
OMG
I have two printers that I have not used for a few weeks. Suddenly neither will print. They are said to be 'off line'. How that happened I have no idea. Can someone tell me how to undo this and make them 'on line' so I can print? Thanks Me |

Open your devices and printers in control panel, find your printers in question, double click on one. In the new window that opens, click on the "printer" menu, look for "Use Printer Offline" if it is checked / selected, deselect it. If your printer is connected, up and running, this should put it back online. Any documents in your print queue should start printing. Do the same thing for the second printer. Thanx I did see 'off line'. Turns out my CAT5's had come loose. Everything shud be this eezy Me |

If the clips on your cables have broken off, I'd suggest replacing the cables. They're very inexpensive (monoprice.com, for example) and you won't have to wonder if they're snug or not. -- Char Jackson |

Good advice - mine are old and shabby. Thanks for the advice ME |
