Anyone know of a device to share a mouse and keyboard with twocomputers?
Hi All,
Anyone know of a device to share a USB2 mouse and USB2 keyboard with two computers? I do not want to share the monitor or sound. I searched for over an hour yesterday and could only come up with something that would share one of them, so I had to get two devices. Or, they they were weird KVM switches. So, before I buy two, one device switches, I thought I check with your guys. -T |

Just connect one monitor directly to each PC - not through the switch. -- Cheers, Roger ____________ Please reply to Newsgroup. Whilst email address is valid, it is seldom checked. |

There are lots of them. They don't normally go bad. We have several on the local servers but I don't know what kind. They are black... possibly Startech. |

Of course, you have to have monitors for each to see what's going on, but you mentioned that you don't need the V part of the KVM, so I'm guessing you have a PC set-up similar to mine. What you want is a KVM controllable from the keyboard. I used one imported from India for years and years until I got fed up of the whole setup and disconnected all. Very useful if you need such a setup. One KVM, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and I could use and control 4 computers. -- choro ***** Politics is the art of dealing with the repercussions of yesteryear's policies.-- Quoted from choro's sayings. |
