Default O.T. - Connection Problem:

I just logged on and all the pages
were normal and didn't have to resize
anything. I didn't do a thing, isn't
that odd? I wonder what caused the
pages to shrink in the first place?

Anyways,... I'll check and see it it
stays this way. It would be interesting
to see if the spare HD would correct
itself as well but I'm not switching
HD's to find out. *L*

I have a theory. I noticed in some of
your screenshots, the resolution was 1280x720.

Normally when you post to one of the image
sharing sites, your captures are 1920x1080.

I think the screen resolution may be set to
a different value, on the two accounts!

Normally, if a user has a 1920x1080 screen, they
set the video card to "native" resolution, so the
video card is set to 1920x1080. If a user manually
adjusts the Display control panel to 1280x720, the
content becomes larger, the text a bit fuzzy, and
the icon layout on the left of the screen will be
all-different. If you used to have three columns,
there might be four columns of icons on the 1280
setup.

Just a guess,
Paul

I checked the resolution on both
Accounts.

https://postimg.org/image/e1rlx1j7n/ - User Account

https://postimg.org/image/fy4iwinwp/ - Admin Account

All the pages were normal again when
I logged on but had to resize them
after I went to the Admin Account.

OK.

Maybe what I was seeing, is PostImage
resized the images to 1280x720, and that's
what did it. Even when you select "Do not resize",
they of course, resize whenever it suits them.

The 'Paint' page had to be resized
today. Strange how it comes and
goes on it's own.

Another odd thing that happened,.
I had a pop-up from Avast saying
there was a download for Firefox.

After checking Firefox it said I
was using the current version.

My mistake,. I had to close down FF
via Task Mgr because Yahoo got hung
up and when I clicked to open it again
it asked for my Admin Account password
to make changes to FF.

I had this from Avast:

https://postimg.org/image/ela2fpab3/ - unprotected

SO I reinstalled it, but still says
I need to tweak items,..

https://postimg.org/image/t87e3hs23/ - items

normally, if I recall we don't and just ignore
it. correct? That's what I did.

Also, upon further checking I did loose some
folders in another location not pipes. It's like
I have the old set of folders and are missing the new
but I don't understand why some folders should
be missing while others are all intact? So there
may be more that I don't know about as yet or maybe
this was a isolated but it's done.

I suppose I could go back to a further Mrimg and
copy/paste them to a key and then use that to bring
them back up to date.

I attempted to search for the missing folders,
I did manage to look at next latest Mrimg but
it showed the same thing. So I attempted to look
further back but was denied permission even on
the Admin Account and when I tried to dismount
the drives it gives me this:

https://postimg.org/image/y88w1410d/ - O drive

https://postimg.org/image/b7hin78dh/ - N drive

Restarting or powering down will reset it but
I'd like to know how to do it manually if it isn't
too complicated.

I like the "items" description of "useless programs".
I guess that makes it an AV that has "taste in software".

Since you already placed a large quantity of material
on that USB key, would the missing files be on there
right now ?

I'm not able to reproduce that here. I tried
Macrium 6.3 series in a VM, and it always
does the right thing - offers to unmount
the virtual drive.

And yes, when you shut down the OS, all the
virtual mounts are unmounted.

I don't know of another way off hand. I've
never looked for command line solutions
for Macrium.

I had the same thought and I checked and
I have some but I didn't think to save that
portion that's missing.

That's why I tried looking further back in
Mrimgs to see if it's there.

I have used it where it behaves normally
and has the dismount drive but as you
can see from the screenshots yesterday
mine didn't do that for some odd reason
and I should be able to view inside the
Mrimg once I've selected the virtual drive
letter 'O' but I was denied access.

Yet as I say, once I was able to get in,
the first time but after that I couldn't.

Also I had to resize all my pages today,.
very strange behavior coming and going all
on it's own.

Thoughts, suggestions?

About all I can suggest at this point,
is reboot, and then mount the next MRIMG
and have a look around.

I did try looking again and this time
I was able to unmount the drive several
times.

However, I wasn't able to find the folders.
It's not critical but curious they would
be missing when everything else seems to be
here.

Maybe the file's were corrupted or something?

Robert
