SP2 Firewall exceptions by IP
That's what you get for free - if you want versatility and
customization, you'll need to disable the XP built in firewall and install a 3rd party firewall. You know, MS can only do so much without stepping over the mystical, magical monopolization boundary. They put too much functionality in, they get class action sued as a monopoly. -- Star Fleet Admiral Q @ your service -------------------------------------------------------- "vbnetway" wrote in message ... yes, this is exactly what i mean, SP2 FW will be installed and enabled on most XP machines from now on, and many people have home based networks of which they want to access, so i don't think it is viable option to install and 2nd firewall and disable the one that is already there. i tried playing around with windows firewall, there is an option to open one port to a specifie IP or ip range, but it allows one port only, that is limitation in my opinion, it should allow us to specify multiple ports or port range...!! thanks |
