"Language Bar" greyed out
My language bar button is greyed out and I can't make it active. The
button is located in: Control Panel/Regional and Language/Languages/Details /Settings What happened is that I use both Japanese and English and I need to have the language option button in the task bar at the bottom of the screen. It seems like I deleted something from system when i was trying to get rid of spywares and ever since my language var disapeared... I researched evrywhere in Google and the closest help I got was to change a setting in "Advanced: tab. So I went to: Control Panel/Regional and Language/Languages/Details /Advanced and unclicked the "Turn off advanced text services" (supposely this needs to be unchecked to use the language bar). BUT no matter how many times i unchecked it and restarted the computer it always come back on and I just can't turn it on. Does anyone have any idea?? I called Dell and was on the phone whole morning, but they couldn't fix it either. Thanks millions in advance, Super Duper |

"Language Bar" greyed out
I found the solution in another forum.
You just have to download this http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm if NortonAV blocks it, then choose 'allow script' option then go to control Panel to turn On Advanced Text Service, then you have again access to the language toolbar "Super Duper" wrote: My language bar button is greyed out and I can't make it active.
