Default Icons on Desktop

My icons on the desktop are arranged align-to-grid, but NOT auto-arrang [ed].

Sometimes, however, I lose sight of some (a few) of the icons -- the icon is
there, but not within my view.

How can I restore it to my view?

Thank you,

FLKulchar

See what happens if you uncheck "Align to grid" and select Arrange Icons By Name.

Also try pressing F5 to refresh the screen and see if it sorts out the problem.
