Default Application doesn't run when RDP window is in background

Hi all,

I have a remote pc which I use for recording and playing audio and
video. It runs W7 Pro 64b and I control it by RDP from my own pc.
On this remote pc I have RoboTask installed, which has a scheduler, and
wakes op a video recording application on a specified time, and it
records video for a specified length of time. That works by receiving
key strokes from the RoboTask program, which sends them to my recording
program, after it has been woken up.
This all works well as long as I keep the RDP screen on my own pc open.
Even if it's minimized, it works well. But when I set my RDP screen to
the background, the remote recording application does no longer receive
the key strokes. This has something to do with closing the RDP session,
even when it's not closed but the screen is in the background.
How can I pretend to have this RDP session open when it's closed or in
the background?

Thanks in advance,

Fokke
