Default file open dialogue window default sort order

when i open a file open, file saveas, etc window, the
items (files and folders) displyed is not sorted
alphabetically, but in reverse chronological order. how
do i globally change this to be alphabetic?

Paul,

You can temporarily change it by right-click view options. There is no
resolution for this issue. Common Dialog box settings cannot be saved (wrt
view settings).
