HP 722c printer blurred and smeared since XP
Just wanted to let you all know that we have concluded the printer itself is
bad. My friend is going to buy a new one. Thanks so much for the help. Helene "Helene" wrote in message ... An elderly friend of mine just had XP installed on his older Compaq computer. He is still using the HP 722c printer he used with win 98. Since installing XP all his copies are blurred and smeared. We have cleaned the heads, aligned the cartridges, changed the cartridges, checked for new drivers (he has the latest), and deleted and reinstalled the printer. Nothing we've tried has helped. I'd appreciate any help you can give me with this. I'm at a loss because I have a new Dell with XP and my 722c printer works just fine. Helene |

After you mentioned the test page was bad, I was contemplating on asking if
by chance the ink cartridges were installed backwards? Glad you figured it out. Much time spent looking though. bummer. "Helene" wrote in message ... It is a bummer. The good news is that I've been hoping to one day get an all
in one, and now I have a good excuse. Especially since my scanner is not recommended to be used with XP either. Helene "Victor D." wrote in message ... On behalf of us all... could we please make a suggestion that no matter how
cheap they are that you look at ALL the manufacturers models and not just at Lexmark! Happy Hunting! Cari www.coribright.com "Helene" wrote in message ... It is a bummer.
