Is there a way to load "run" from "Windows Explorer"
Hi All,
I locate a lot of files with Windows Explorer (WE) (NOT Internet Explorer). Often times I have to go back and winr to re-hunt the stinker down so I can add command line parameters. Is there any way to trigger and load winr from WE? Or, maybe some way from WE to add command line parameters? Many thanks, -T |

My address bad only gives me the directory. What am I missing? |

Right-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer and selecting 'Send to Command Prompt' from the popup menu opens a command window with the executable name and path complete with a trailing space ready to add command parameters. There's an entry in Control Panel to change the general settings for the utility. -- Regards John ) Remove the obvious to reply... |

So go up to the address bar and type it in, it'll at least autocomplete/find it for you. *Then* put the parameters in -- Duncan. |

I love it for me, but I am 98% doing this over Go To Assist on customer's machines. I am hesitant to install utilities on other's machines. Native method A: Shift-right-click the executable and select "Copy as path". Hit the Windows key or the Start button and type CMD /K and a space, Ctrl+V and another space, and your parameters. Native method B: If you have a command prompt already open, click and drag the executable into it and then add your parameters. -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://BrownMath.com/ http://OakRoadSystems.com/ Shikata ga nai... |

NT used some kind of File Manager, but I forgot that one too. |
