Default How to install and use Lingoes for browser? Alternative?

I don't know if it is only a browser but also an os problem.

I used Lingoes for translation. I don't know how long it worked.

But know it doesnt work anymore with Firefox/Chrome/
Acrobat With Acrobat (with Acrobat I think it never worked).

My OS is the newest Window 10 version.
And I have the newest versions of Chrome and Firefox.

Because I couldn't install the Lingoes-Plugin on normal Firefox anymore
also with xpinstall.signatures.required set to false I installed
the developer version of Firefox and set it to false.
But now I get the message: "Lingoes Text-Capture could'nt installed,
because it's not compatible with Firefox Developer Edition 57.0"

On Chrome I could install it, but can't use it.
If I hold the mouse on a word in Chrome nothing happens
although I set in "Mouse Activation Modus" "Mouse On Word"
for translation.

So: How can I use Lingoes with Firefox/Chrome/Acrobat?
The last version of Lingoes seem to be from 2014, so it
could be the new browsers don't accept it because it's to old?

Is there an alternative for Lingoes?

It's important that an alternative has also the "translate-when-mouse-
is-above-word" function.

Firefox has restrictions on adding things.
They have done this in the interest of "security".
