!!!!!!!!!!BYPASS WINDOWS XP PASSWORD - DEATH IN THE FAMILY POST UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!
I have a program called CIA Commander. It is, well, very cool. I
mostly use it for its practical joke possibilities, but at around $600 a copy, I didn't buy it for this reason. It is a very small file, which can be put on a floppy. You boot to the floppy and the interface (a lot like a BIOS interface) allows you to remove or copy user passwords that are located on any NT/2000/XP machine. This allows one to copy a password, then remove it, log in to user's account with no password, replace user's background with appropriate pornography, and replace the original password. So, no matter how many times the person changes their password, you appear to have telepathy. The only thing is, you never REALLY know what the password is; you just bypass it and then replace it. Any user's password can be changed, including the SysOp. Heck, it even had a .NET password and account on there I never knew existed. If you want the program request here, and I will post it to the appropriate news group, but I think the trial will let you do a one time freebee. DVD Ferret P.S. NTFS security has already been defeated, like 2 years ago. |

If computer security is properly implemented that program will not
work. You will not get that application to work on any computer that has proper security. So NO, it has not yet been defeated. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp http://dts-l.org/index.html "DVD FERRET" wrote in message ... So what kind of 'proper security' do you propose, genius? Have
you used to program or did your panties get all brown when you found out that your precious NTFS didn't provide the security you had thought? Your gay porn is no longer safe... Works on every computer I've used it on. If you want to say, ahh, well, just set the bios to not boot floppy; then you just reset the BIOS (well, really the CMOS) and it boots. I'm not talking stupid **** here. I take it, you didn't test the software since your post is a few minutes after my original post. If you did, then elaborate on your findings, don't just spout off some gay **** and not give reasons why. If you're going to call me a liar and a retard, then at least site examples of your magical proper security theory. None the less, NTFS or not, there will ALWAYS be a lock, a key, and a sledgehammer. NOTHING is totally safe and secure. NOTHING. On Tue, 23 Sep 2003 15:05:58 -0600, "Jupiter Jones [MVP]" wrote: If computer security is properly implemented that program will not work. Your attitude and language do not deserve an answer at all.
You should really leave the attitude elsewhere. In any case I will answer partially, the rest you can figure out. The answer is in the security newsgroups regularly as well. I do not need to test your specific software. I do not need to disable floppy, CD or anything else in the computer. I also never said "totally safe and secure. NOTHING", but you just did. Hang around the security groups a while and you might just learn what security really is. Just for you, the answer is on this page, directly or possibly through links: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...s/10imlaws.asp Do not worry, you will hear no more from me with your current attitude. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp http://dts-l.org/index.html "DVD FERRET" wrote in message ... Wow, great job at puking up someone else's work and still not giving a
reason to your post; you're just too smart for me. Besides, if you didn't like the post, I didn't ask you to read it. It was a follow up to a previous post; just trying to help someone out by giving a SPECIFIC answer- which you have yet to give me. All I got was a link to some useless garbage about keeping people from physically accessing your data and keeping your passwords secure. WTF? Try to keep in the scope of the topic, genius (sorry, Mr. Genius MVP). I didn't mention EFS and symmetric key encryption or NTFS permissions. I just was trying to express the fact that a FAT boot floppy can gain access to a NTFS partition and run a program to bypass any NT operating systems password; thus, giving access to the entire system through the user interface. I don't remember typing "the encryption schemes and routines that are implemented on NTFS systems are crap". The statement was in regards to the file structure itself, not anything implemented by the SysOp. So, to reiterate, we are talking about NTFS, not keeping people away from your computer or not choosing your birth date as your logon password- N...T...F...S... Mathew, I think it's time someone told you that you really don't know everything. And just maybe (maybe) there are things that can be learned by paying close attention to the details that may or may not be present and not expressing the first thought that comes to your head like a child. Rather than investigate the program and post some meaningful information, acted all pompous and posted like a child. If computer security is properly implemented that program will not work. You will not get that application to work on any computer that has proper security. So NO, it has not yet been defeated. Wow, three lines of poetic righteousness. Yet, somehow the come across as infantile; oh wait they are. Your attitude and language do not deserve an answer at all. Then you should have known better that to open your mouth... But you didn't. Pure genius. You should really leave the attitude elsewhere. Right, like through your cute little AOL instant messenger. I do not need to test your specific software. Right, because you would rather remain ignorant and pompous. I also never said "totally safe and secure. NOTHING", but you just did. Why, yes, I did. There you go, you can pay attention. Hang around the security groups a while and you might just learn what security really is. Ahhh, no. This is absolutely an accidental encounter, it will most likely not happen again. Besides, I am proficient in other things; this is just a hobby for me. Sadly, it seems, this is your life. And your mind is so warped, that you actually believe that the groups are a physical place where people can "hang around". You've really been in the game too long. You have delusions of grandeur. A subscription to TechNet doesn't make you a genius. Do you even spend time with 'real' people? Does your family even know you anymore? Am I the only on that can see the problems with that kind of answer from a man your age who's actually in the field? Anyway, the best device to keep you data ABSOLUTELY secure is called the OFF switch, try it out sometime. You're not a high school teacher by any chance are you? You fit the mold. -Ferret (God, why am I wasting my time with such a tool?) Nevertheless, he is correct, attitude and all. I am not familiar with this specific program, but i know of at least one other that will allow you to change ANY local password on the workstation no matter how NTFS is configured. Boot from the floppy, pick the account, and enter the new password. Then reboot and you have access. The only way this will not work is if the person does not have physical access to the machine. It is a very handy utility for any help or security admin to have.. |
