Default How do you 'stack' a series of music videos to play?

Stored in files in different folders are individual music videos
all .flv types

With each 4-6 minutes long, I'd like to select a series and have them
play. At least 10 of them so I don't have to stop working to start
another one at the silence.

How to do that?

While I haven't done it with FLV files, I use VLC Media Player and just
Right-Click on the folder that contains multiple music files and choose
"Play with VLC media player" and it goes through each file consecutively.

thank you for your reply. I don't know what VLC Media Player is. I
want to bridge across subdirectory boundaries AND have music videos
played in the order listed.

When I click on any of these files, Sothink FLV Player plays them

What I was thinking of was either a file of names, or a way to simply
click names and they play in that sequence.

VLC Media Player by VideoLAN is a highly capable media player, converter and
recorder.

I use to play various file formats, download and save YouTube content and
record videol streams from USB and NTSC video sources.

VLC is an OpenSource project.

VLC can create playlists (and save them if you want).
IMO, VLC is one of the best players ever (and Irfan).

It's at v2.05. If you like it, I suggest making sure you have the latest
version.

I now remember the reason I did NOT use it before. The field of view
on the screen was fixed size, very tiny, and no way to change it!

Can you make the new version's field of view while playing videos any
size?

Yes. Fixed or not-fixed aspect ratio, window, full screen, skins, etc...

If you are suggesting that VLC cannot be resized, you are quite wrong.

That is exactly what the old 0.8 version did.

Really? I've had a copy of VLC installed for many years, but never used
it much. I don't remember that. I just did a quick search, but I don't
see any mention of that, although I see some comments that imply that
they may have disabled that feature temporarily for a short time in
order to fix a bug. But I don't know, you may know more about it than
I. In any case, version 0.8 was, like, eight years ago. Resize has
worked fine for quite a while now.

Do you know if the new version will install but NOT grab access to
the .flv files? Set it up so it doesn't preferentially open anything.

I want to be able to click and play like now. And, when desired,
purposely start VLC and open a 'list' of videos.

Does VLC allow me to modify the amplitude of each video? [ahead of
play] If the videos all come from the same uploader, they seem to be
almost equal in volume, but these videos are really 'hit n miss' One
I cannot hear unless the volume everywhere is turned full up. Then
when you play a 'normal' video the poor little speaker cones land on
my desk.

And worse, inside one video can't hear, then applause is so loud the
volume 'moves you across the room, like that ad. Is there anyway to
edit a .flv adjusting the volumes to the same levels, cutting out the
applause, or simply cutting out non singing material before and after
a performance. Anybody who has downloaded an X Factor video knows what
I'm talking about..

PS: I use google for access to usenet groups, and for the third time
google in its wisdom suddenly asked me for my password as I posted the
response, throwing any laboriously prepared response away! Yet, I can
stay logged in to google for days and days, It's just the timing of
the question is incredibly damaging.

Just obtain v2.05 use it and play with it. Yes you can change the volume,
resize the display, associate or not specific file types, etc.

It is a versitile and capable software. Let's not get off track in what can
it do etc.

PS: Drop Google Groups, it is crap. It is the major source of crap posts
and spam and thus many in Usenet space summarily killfile all Google
Groupers. Use a News Client via a News Server.
