Default Windows 7 N

Does Windows Media Player 12 come with Windows 7 N? This Microsoft page
seems to be giving me conflicting information. That is, the first paragraph,
below, seems to indicate that WMP12 is not included, yet the second paragraph
seems to indicate that you have you have to

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ws-7-n-edition

"What's not included in N editions of Windows 7?
The N editions of Windows 7 have all the features that normally come with
each individual Windows 7 edition, except for Windows Media Player 12 and
related programs, such as Windows Media Center or Windows DVD Maker."

vs.

"I want to download Windows Media Player 12. Where can I find it?
Download Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN."

To me, Windows Media Player is an abomination. I do not use it and do
not recommend it. Apparently, someone in charge at Micro$oft agrees. A
2017 update to Windows 10 deleted it. I believe it is no longer
maintained or even available.

Version: Date Published:

Windows6.1-KB968211-x64-RefreshPkg.msu 303.6 MB

Windows6.1-KB968211-x86-RefreshPkg.msu 278.3 MB

I tested one of those and it started to download, so I guess
they're OK for now. No idea what version is hiding in there.

HTH,
Paul
