The named software is great on my Windows 7 system.
(it searches for malware and also locates all cookies ---with delete option) Is there a version of something similar for later versions of Windows? |

Is it this one ? They call it a PUA. Did you upload the program and have it scanned ? Do you still have the original EXE so you can scan it ? https://www.sophos.com/en-us/threat-...%20Shield.aspx ******* You don't need much on Windows 7, as most of your privacy issues will be browser based. (Flash has some issues, but the Flash control panel also has a delete button you can use.) You can test the "goodness" of the cleanup with this. https://samy.pl/evercookie/ What that does, is tries to set cookies the way real websites try to exploit you. Then, after you set a cookie with that web site, run your "proposed" cleaner, then start the browser and visit samy.pl again. Is the site able to detect the cookie it originally set ? My guess is, yes. You can work on it, until you're satisfied with the result. Note that the methods on samy.pl are not up to date, and the author of that site is not improving the set with "new ones". I'm pretty sure the person who runs the site, knows of additional ones, but can't make a lifetime project out of this. Paul |
