Who cares about Spain? Spain is nothing. It proved that it was nothing
the moment it tucked its tail between its legs and ran after the
terrorist attack.

Unlike the USA, Spain caught 100% of the people who bombed Madrid. So
far, the USA has caught *one* person that was involved with 9/11. I feel
safer in Spain that has been dealing with Muslims for hundreds of years
than in some country that may elect Sarah Palin to be their next
president, thank you very much.

Leaving the illegal war in Iraq was the sensible thing to do. Making up
lies like WMD and attacking a country based on those lies is what, hot
shot, bravery?

You dumb ****, you're not even Spanish Poppy, so I on the behalf of the
US, I "say **** you". You should have been strangled with your own
placenta at birth. They probably flushed **** like you out of whatever
country you were born in.

Linux doesn't cost a $1,000.

That would almost be enough for two Office 2010 Ultimate licenses.

I think there are a lot of people who are
not ignorant, and they have no need for Linux. If they don't have a need

Linux.

I have a question for you. How come Linux was never mentioned in the XP
newsgroup? Could it possibly be that it's become more popular since
then? Considering that Linux is not mass media advertised like Windows
and Mac, it most certainly has come and is going a long way.

Let me ask you a question, who in the **** cares about what you're
talking about?

Let's see, how did you come up with that figure? Supposedly, there are
about 1 billion computers on line in the world which would mean,
according to your figures, that there a 50 million Linux users. Fact is,
however, that no one knows how many Linux installs there are because
Linux doesn't need to be activated or become "genuine" and there are no
store receipts to count like there is with Windows. I suspect if you
take the stats of the backwards USA out of the picture, the user share
for Linux would be much higher. After all, only the USA could have such
ignorant, biased bigots running for congress like there are today. Those
same supporters of Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, O'Donnell and Rand Paul don't
know any better than to order a computer from Best Buy with Windows
preloaded.

You're blowing smoke here and doing a spin. Just the other damn day, you

there is NOT a goddamn thing you can do about it. You choke on it

It's his figures. Take it up with him.

Only reason to "nuke" Windows and install Linutz is that the Windows
installation was pirated, and the user wasn't bright enough to turn in
the pirate business that sold the computer.

No, dumb ****, to buy a laptop without Windows is a bit difficult.

Hmmm.... I a quick google search shows lots of companies selling
laptops with linux pre-installed... What's so difficult?

Funny, the Wiki leaks just came out and verified that there were WMD in
Iraq and they were enearthed as late as 2008. The problem being most
people don't see WMDs as anything but bombs.

Linux has less than one percent of the desktops. Most people reject Linux
as a TOY OS for geeks who can't get laid. Plain and simple.

If you want to do real work, get a real OS. Windows 7 is a real OS.

The important thing to remember is that Linux is just an annoyance to most
people.

Imagine, Linux is FREE yet most reject it. People would rather pay for
Windows than use that ****TY Linux/Ubuntu crap that they throw out there.

Get a ****ing life.

web stats don't need receipts. it counts everybody equally no matter where
or how they got their os.

Web stats are not reliable because they only monitor certain sites, not
the entire web. They only report global usage and never do it by
country. Again, if you were to take the USA out of the picture, Linux
usage would be much higher. Also, for example, if you monitor msn.com
and don't monitor ubuntu.com, you have skewered stats. I would bet that
idealista.com isn't monitored even though it's one of the most popular
sites in Spain.

got any credible stats that show linux having more than 5% market share?

Can't read?

of course you do not.

You have a serious reading comprehension problem.

I suspect if you take the stats of the backwards USA out of the picture,

I never knew that only republicans buy computers with Windows preloaded.

Not what I wrote. The point is that the USA has a large chunk of the
usage world wide and most Americans aren't very hip as is evidenced by
the fact that the above named idiots may very well take over congress.

Linux is for socially retarded people who can't get laid. I guess you have
no other choice than to use Linux/Ubuntu.

Now you have to learn lots of cryptic line commands to get **** to work. HA

I have to admit that Windows 7 is most likely the bestest version of
Windows since Windows 2000 but even still I have removed it from my Dell
system in favor of Linux Ubuntu which I just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 from
10.04 with not a single trouble. Linux just does everything I need and does
it for free. I can compile a slim kernel to use on my P4 system or I can
have a fat kernel for my i7 system. It's my choice. Windows 7 puts an extra
100 mb partition on my drive that I don't want. Why is that? Linux does
what I tell it to do instead of doing what some corrupt company thinks I
want to do. I use my Garmin GPS, Android phone, Sansa mp3 player and my
Sony USB turntable with Linux and have no problems. So why spend $165 on
Windows 7? I've been asking myself the same question. Time to ebay the dung
pile and get back at least some of my money. Linux may not be the most
popular system but in my opinion it's the best, at least for me.

a quick summary of the entire thread

alias - it's impossible to know linux usage because linux is free

Not what I said.

me - web stats count usage regardless of price (ask Firefox)

Yes, you can't state what web sites are used for the so-called stats.

alias - web stats are being manipulated and are lies

You're that naive?

me - any proof for your claim.

No need. Stats have been used for ages to "prove" what wants to prove.

alias - post some random insults, snip my posts, claim victory and run
away.

No, I told the truth: you have a reading comprehension problem and are
logic impaired, two reasons why "debating" with you is a useless endeavor.

alias is another snip and run coward.

I didn't run anywhere.

alias is a linux "advocate"

I am a Linux user. I also use Windows. I advocate each for different
reasons. You're a hopeless windroid looking for a fight.

Alright sheep-****er...tell us all what you use that toy POS linux for
and what you use Windows 7 for.
Be specific, if you can.

Alias has been doing that for years. He has nothing better to do than hype
