Having said that, those vulnerabilities were patched long ago,

There are vulnerabilities dating back years that have never been
patched. Linux patches when the patches are ready, not once a month.

Really? Then why are there Linux anti-virus software then?

So when did Linux become Gold and there is no more holes in Linux to
be found? I missed that announcement, so can you show it to us?
Because the last I heard is that Linux had holes in it since the
beginning, three years ago, today and long into the future.

What, exactly, do you not understand about the words "compared to"?

Compared to what? Windows? Well from my personal experience, Windows
viruses are not a personal threat to me because I have been running
Windows since '93 and I never had one yet. Take a tip from this guy.

Viruses don't harm, ignorance does!

Linux is said to not have the number of viruses because Linux is so tiny
in comparison. So why bother writing Linux viruses when most people use
Windows anyway? There is no question inn my mind that if the roles were
reversed and 99% were using Linux. You can bet Linux would have tons
more viruses than Windows did.

LOL! Liar. Anti virus and anti malware programs are only as good as
their definitions which always come *after* the fact. You're probably
infected and don't even know it.

Take a tip from this guy.

Never heard of the drive by malware, eh? Everyone act surprised.

From the rip off anti malware for Linux web site you quote:

"The problem can be corrected by upgrading your system to the
following package versions:

Ubuntu 6.06 LTS:"

A bit behind the times, eh what? I'm running 10.10.

The truth is the pot is calling the kettle black again. Okay Alias,
show us the data that supports your claim? As the last data I saw
Linux was still less than 1% of desktop users.

Not knocking Linux but aside from their servers which are better than
the ones MS has, their Desktop and laptop users are less than 1% of
the total in the world
What I never got an answer from any Linux user is why is Linux free
and how do they pay their employees when they give it away.
I know the answer but nobody in the Linux fanclub has yet hit on it

Also as far as vulnerabilities goes, Linux is way up there also

Yes isn't that odd?

Not if you're not ignorant like you. Informed people know that all
operating systems get security updates. Linux gets them much, much
quicker. I've had three kernel updates on this Linux Mint install since
I installed it last year.

PMSL

It's a good job they fixed it on March 25, then. Priceless!!

Anyway, the kernel was vulnerable and there are a lot more recent
examples.

Odd, some would call Ubuntu a virus. As Linux fanatics convinced me to
run Ubuntu Live. And they said don't worry, it won't harm your Windows
install. As Linux won't touch it. As it runs totally in RAM and won't
even look at the drive.

Ok sounds good to me and I ran Ubuntu Live v8.xx and some things didn't
work like the WiFi, webcam, and stuff. Ok that was fun. So I rebooted to
Windows and it won't let me into the desktop. A window displayed said
Windows Installer and nothing would work. Odd since I just ran Ubuntu
Live, wouldn't you say?

Restored Windows from a backup and it was running just fine. Say you
don't think Linux users lied to me do you? Naw... Linux users never lie
right? Well just in case, I ran Ubuntu Live again. Rebooted to Windows
and lo and behold, Windows is screwed up again. But it can't be Linux
right?

Since it can't be Linux, I did it a third time. And as sure as the sun
rises, it did it again. So every time I ran Ubuntu Live, it toasted my
Windows install. And it turns out that Ubuntu Live actually does write
to the Windows partition. And it looks for the Windows pagefile to use
for itself. And if it doesn't find one (I didn't have one), Ubuntu gets
mad and toasts your Windows install.

I don't know Gordon? I believe some would classify that as a Windows
virus. After all, it does fit under the definition of one anyway. ;-)
