Default RPC Server

log on as administrator

go to control panel/admin tools/services

look for remote procedure call (RPC) and remote Procedure
call (RPC) locator. Double click on each of them, make
sure Remote Precodure call "startup type" is set to
Automatic, and that RPC locator "startup type" is set to
manual
