Default Dropped Devices with Removable Storage

Windows consistantly drops my drives for my DVD and CD. I have to restore my
computer to see and use the drives. What would cause this and how do I fix
it?

Check Event Viewer for errors. Check Device Manager for error codes and or
non-starting devices.

Thanks for the response, however, exactly what errors do I look for? What
error codes should I see or look for? I have no idea about these codes or
error to recognize them in the Event viewer...
