Default Boot Disk Disabled

Dabir said in :
This happened all of sudden to my XP Pro system. When I power my
system up it displays the Gateway Logo and stalls for a while then
the BIOS screen comes up and the following error:

Primary Master Hard Disk Error
Press (F4) to Run Setup

After I press F4 == Boot == Hard Disk == Select

System displays

1st Hard Drive [Disabled]

I press Enter

System displays

ST312002A
Disabled

I select the Diasbled option and I tried toggling the Disabled
setting with Rt Arrow, LF Arrow, Up Arrow, Down Arrow, + sign, -
sign, PgUp, PgDn Nothing happens!!!! I am clue less, don't know whats
going on. Is the hard drive hosed? Is there way to Enable the drive,
if so how? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Did you check if the IDE ports are enabled? Time to replace your CMOS
battery?
