safely removal hardware cannot function

hai...
i having a problem with safely remove my removevable device using
safely remove hardware icon since last year..
it was still work properly last time, i can easly use the icon to
remove my removetable device such as pendrive, mp3, digital camera...
but the problem started since last year when i port in two pendrives at
a same time, transfering some file. After that i incidently use eject
to remove the pendrive and causing my computer to hang up...

after that the problem occur..that is i cant use safely remove icon to
remove any removetable device. nomether how many time i format my
computer it still the same. So i was farce to unplug my removetable
device without using the icon. But anyway, so far it dint caurse any
problem like missing file on my pendrive or mp3.

i would like to know, is that any way to sovle this problem?
