Strange IE problem

I can surf all over the internet. Obviously, I am here.
However, if I try to access the Microsoft Home Page or
even if I try to access the knowledge base directly, IE
crashes. Could someone please tell me what is going on?

I would appreciate any help.

However, referring me to a Microsoft Knowledge Base site
is apparently out of the question since I cannot get to
the knowledge base.

Try cleaning out your Temporary Internet Files, maybe some corrupt
file from a previous visit is causing the crash.
