DVD-ROM drive disappeared after Firewire HDD
Hi,
I hope someone can offer some insight on the following phenomenon. I have a computer with 1 internal HDD (C: & D, 1 DVD-ROM (E, and 1 CD-RW(F. Everything was working fine until I decided to purchase a Firewire external HDD (and adapter card). I installed the card, plugged in the HDD, and... it worked. However, since then my DVD-ROM has disappeared from My Computer! The computer lists drives C, D, and F. Where's E ? Inserting media into the DVD-ROM does nothing. I checked the BIOS, and sure enough it's recognized fine (not surprizing since it worked before). Any ideas ? Thanks, Eyad |
