I don't want a password
I got a new system yesterday. I spent the day installing programs. Then I went
looking for games. I'm using Classic Shell. I went to the metro screen with the apps, found games and had to open a Microsoft account to get the games. That included a password. This morning when I went to boot the computer, it wanted a password. I'm lucky I remembered it. I DON'T want a password to start up Windows. I've never had one, don't want one, have no use or need for one. Now how do I get rid of it? Thanks for any information. |

Thanks. good, now for the other million or so users with bad memories who forgot the process, what is it. As I recall there is a MS Q&A which I have forgotten. http://www.howtogeek.com/112919/how-...automatically/ http://preview.tinyurl.com/k9uj5cp |

Anyway, what I did didn't work. It didn't last anyway. I'm still getting the request for a password. So something is wrong. No sense telling you all what I did if it was wrong? Sounds like you switched/converted a local account to a MSFT account where the MSFT account was necessary to use/access the Windows Store app (games). -- ...winston msft mvp consumer apps |

I don't want a password
Hi, Char.
And we use WD-40 because "Water Displacer 39" still didn't work. ;} RC -- -- R. C. No sense telling you all what I did if it was wrong? I used to have a t-shirt that said, "I'm not completely worthless. I can always serve as a bad example." The moral is that it can be valuable to know what doesn't work. According to folklore, Heinz 57 had 56 failed recipes that came before it. :-) |
