Default Anti-virus program? [OT]

snip

university's computer rooms. Must have been around 1995, I think.

Having never heard of "Violator" nor "Depeche Mode," it's clearly not
*my* generation.

Your loss. g

I have several hundred LPs, almost all of Renaissance, Baroque,
Classical, and Romantic period music.

De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum. ;-)

speaking of which, Martin Gore has a new instrumental album that just
came out named "M.G."

it's quite good

AIOE SNIP

After checking AV comparatives rates for detecting malware, my research
found that Avira seems to be the top free AV

I did use bitdefender free at one time but after scans it would say that
it found and deleted a bunch of files then said right under that "no
items detected"

weird...

also I'd use Malware Bytes antimalware in addition (free!)

Never heard of him, either.

It's certainly one of the best. Whether it's *the* best, I'm not sure,
but I've known many people who think so. I've used it and liked it,
but not enough to have a real opinion.

I didn't like his other solo album. So I hope it's nothing like that.
However, I /did/ like what he made with Vince Clark: 'Ssss' by VCMG.

It's like 'Ssss' but more downtempo, below is the link for the single
(mute records approved)

Tnx. I opened the link and let it play and all of a sudden I'm listening
'Tell Me' by Dave Gahan. What the hell is that!? It sounds very...
commercial. Not like his previous CD's.

Just out of curiosity, I listened to this (very briefly, not to the
whole thing). It was no surprise that I hated it. Not at all my cup of
tea.

good lord, it doesn't sound like him singing at all, very
hipster/commercial-ish (in an ironic kind of way of course)

maybe you might enjoy this new one from Carter Tutti remixing Chris and
Cosey (basically remixing themselves)
