Default "Start Talking" not an option

XP Pro w/SP2 and Windows Messenger 4.7 or 5.0.

I have a full duplex microphone attached but "Start Talking" is not an
option available in Windows Messenger.

Any ideas?

Greetings,

It could be that this functionality has been disabled. To turn it back on, completely close
Windows Messenger by right-clicking on its notification area icon and choose Exit, then
download and run the following .reg file:
