SP2 and RAID
I have not seen any questions yet about the effects of
applying SP2 in situations where the PC is set up for a RAID system. RAID is haldway between hardware and software and it is not clear what testing MS has done to ensure that RAID PCs will upgrade to SP2 effortlessly. Very many people now use RAID for fault tollerant purpose. Has anybody with a RAID configured PC tried out SP2 yet? Many thanks for any feedback. Johannes Kantelberg. Canterbury, UK. System setup:- Dual processor Supermicro P6DGU motherboard 2x1000GHZ Pentium 3 CPUs 2x120GB Western Digital ATE hard disks in a RAID 1 (mirror) configuration via a Silicon Image RAID PCI card Windows XP Prof + SP1 |
