Default Autoplay for Pictures Not Populated

I inserted my XD card in to my card reader today and the autoplay pop up
window asking what I wanted Windows to do was blank. For Video, Music and
Mixed content the options are there but not for Pictures - it is just blank.
I have tried running autofix.exe but this has not fixed it. Any ideas? Is
this a Microsoft problem or has something else caused this? It worked fine
until today. Thanks.

What were your choices before today?

A lot of that has to do with what you have installed.

For example - some of my customers would get a choice of Picasa. Some would
get a choice of IrfanView. Etc...

Even if nothing is installed, there should be default options shown,
that come with Windows, such as:
Open folder to view files, Print the pictures, View a slideshow using
Picture and Fax Viewer, Copy picture to a folder using Scanner and
Camera wizard, Take No Action.

Try this Registry file....go he
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Go to Line 17 on the left: Restore Autoplay Icon
Right click that item and save the .reg file to your desktop or download
folder.
Once you have the saved .reg file on your drive, right-click it and
click Merge on the menu that appears, then OK to the confirmation
message to add it to the Registry.

Here is a direct link to the .reg file:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...conrestore.reg

You may need to log off and on, or restart, afterwards.
