Default Not enough Disk space

When attempting to run Norton Anti virus, the message "Not enough disk space is available to execute this command"
I have found a Microsoft Knowledge base article to make the changes in Windows 2000 but I require the same for Windows XP.
Any ideas?
Thanks

How much disk space do you have?

Lots, over 35 gig not used. The problem is not the total amount of disk space available, but the amount that is allocated to Norton.
Thanks
