Problem sending instant message

When sending an instant message to a contact I get an "error" message that
says "It was not possible to deliver the following message to all users" (my
translation, the original text is in swedish: "Det gick inte att leverera
följande meddelande till alla mottagare")

This message is followe by a copy of the message I just sent, but in red.

My question is, how do I change this? This started today and only in one of
my conversations.

This is an ongoing server problem that has resurfaced today. There isn't a lot you can do
about it.
