Default How to enable the dark theme in Microsoft Edge

Windows 10 Anniversary Update introduced a cool dark theme to the
operating system, transforming the look of the user interface. It's a
fairly global theme -- it affects much of the UI, although not all
elements of it. File Manager, for instance, keeps the light look. We
explained how to enable the dark theme here, but if you don't want to
apply it to all of the OS, and just want to give Microsoft Edge a dark
makeover, it's easy enough to do. Open Edge, then go to the top-right
corner and click on the ellipses (…). Scroll down to... [Continue

Default How to enable the dark theme in Microsoft Edge

I have eons of practice trying to implement dark color
schemes. Do not go there.

A dark color scheme will only cause endless configuration
problems and headaches. Eventually, in some windows, you will
realize that bits of data are invisible. Some programs use
Windows colors, some do not. Some programs use Windows colors
for some things and use their own colors for other things.
Using a dark color scheme always ends up being a big stinking
mess.

The only way to go is to use magnifier to invert all colors.
That way, you will always see every item in every window.
That way, contrast will be good. Contrast is reversed, but
the same intensity when colors are inverted.

With inverted colors, all you have left to do is re-invert
colors of pictures and videos. That is a trick, but at least
there is a methodical/programmatic solution, as opposed to
the big fat mess using a dark color scheme in Windows leads
to.

Anybody who wants to promote dark color schemes should
concentrate on inversion of pictures and videos in Windows
and in browsers.
