Default Windows Live Messenger

a few days ago, I downloaded it (MsnMsgr.exe) as well another live program ,
and did not like it, so uninstalled both, and am continuing to use Windows
Messenger (msmsgs.exe - ver 4.7 - (4.7.3001), but evry time I start my
computer up it says my name on the welcome screen like normal but it says I
have * unread e-mail (when highlighted it says ) my hotmail
account name, but I don't use this hotmail and don't want to see this on the
welcome screen.
How do I get rid of this and use what I had before...something in the
registry i need to delete ?
I already deleted everything stating MsnMsgr.exe to try to get rid of it.

thanks

Read the directions at top of page.
Scroll down to Line 100 on the left.
Save the REG File to your hard disk.
Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.
