Default No access for Pro & 2k to Home ??

I'm totally stumped here. I have a LAN setup at my
home running an XP Pro and a Win2k. I have just added a
XP Home to it so I can share some files. I cannot get
access to the Home from the Pro, nor from 2k. They all
see each other in 'My Network Places' with no problem.
But I get no type of connection at all, thru Gui or
command prompt.
When I try to map a drive from the prompt (on Pro &
Home), I get to it asking me for the password and then,
It won't let me type one in. (I hit the keys and nothing
happens)
So if I just hit enter w/o entering a password on XP, it
gives me "system type 85 has occurred. The local device
name is already in use"

On 2k, if I hit enter, it says "The user context supplied
is unvalid."

On XP,when I try to connect to it in 'network places' or
map in gui, it asks for a password with the username
greyed out. And ofcourse It won't let me logon to it that
way.

On 2k, when I try to connect to it in 'network places' or
map in gui, it lets me type in the user name in the box
titled "Connect As" and then I'm able to type in the
password. When I hit enter it tells me that one of them
is incorrect. (Which they aren't)

All this is After I have made a matching account on
the Home machine.

BUT, accessing the Pro & 2k from Home is NO PROBLEM. Just
like I'm logged on locally.

There's no local security policies and/or security
options (that I know of) on Home so I can't tinker with
anything that way. There are no firewalls up.

I can't figure out what I'm missing. In ipconfig /all
for my XP Pro I get Node type "unknown". On the Home
machine I get for Node type "hybrid".

Would that have anything to do with it??

If there is someone out there with the answer, PLEASE
pass it on. I B Confoosed!

THANX N ADVANCE. The Rookie/Wayne B.

PS - I know that I can get what I need done with just the
Home accessing the other two. I just want to get this
figured out for future reference
