internet explorer disappears

Default internet explorer disappears

i have used the repair/re-install file from the doug knox website but this
does not work.

the window opens when i click ie icon and then flicks and then vanishes.
also my oe6 is not connecting to the internet even though my connection is
fine.

my home page keeps resetting to 'about.blank'.


any ideas?
