'verify e-mail address' message

Default 'verify e-mail address' message

on a regular basis, i get a popup saying i have to verify my e-mail address
for windows messenger... when i click the link, it goes to the wm menu, where
i am told to go to my inbox and click on a particular e-mail message... the
problem is that the message in question has never been sent! what's wrong
with this picture?

You will need to verify your e-mail address. If you'd like a new verification e-mail sent to
you, simply go he
https://memberservices.passport.net/...enger.msn.com/
Sign in to Passport when prompted, then click the "Confirm Now" button and then the "Send
Message" button.

1.Should I sign in to Windows messenger using my net passport.
2.Where is the sign in button on the link & can you please tell me the
phrase that prompts you to sign in
3. I do not see any 'confirm now' button or a 'send now' button
