Default Problema Notebook e Stampante. help!

Ciao,
Grazie

Hello,
I have a Toshiba Notebook with Windows 8. Using a Canon printer with you
The laptop has gone from good but some days I can not
To print, because he sees offline. I can only print with the
XPS printer but not with what should be the Default.
Going to Control Panel, the printer I see disabled
Even if there is a check of Default. In Computer Management, I see the
Drivers are there and it says that they work properly. but what
Could be the problem? In other words when I try to print,
It tells me that the printer is offline. What can I do?
Thanks

The following answer assumes the printer is Wifi connected...

http://serverfault.com/questions/580...to-the-network

"Open the Services console.

Start (or restart) the Printer Extensions and Notifications service.

Stop, wait for 5 secs and then Start the Print Spooler.
Normally not enough to Restart.

The printers are online again - until your next
network change or dropoff...

You may have already install KB2961042, as it is an old
patch.

I don't recommend disabling IPV6, unless you read
a few tutorial articles on the subject. If disabled
the wrong way, it can cause networking problems.
Read up on the topic, if that's the solution you
choose to test.

I may be taking the comment above out of context, but disabling IPv6 (or
IPv4) is easy and painless.

Open the Network and Sharing Center
Click on Change Adapter Settings
Right click on the appropriate network adapter, select Properties
Uncheck the box beside the appropriate protocol, IPv6 or IPv4
Click OK

Re-enabling is just as simple.

I've just checked the test machine running Win8.1, and
I've already unticked that box.

I think the reference might have been to *deleting*
the entry, rather than unticking it. There is some
operation like that, which causes more damage than you'd
expect, and at the time, I could find some references to
a right way and a wrong way of doing it. It appears IPV6 is
unticked on that OS install already, so I must have fixed that
a while back. At the current time, IPV6 would not buy me
any advantages here.
