Taskbar icons messed up after latest update

After 63 updates (12/03/2015) I now find that the taskbar items set to Show
Icon and Notifications will revert back to
Only Show Notifications each time I restart the computer and I need to drag
them back to the taskbar.

Also Directory Opus, which I use instead of Windows Explorer, will not
function and folders open up in
Windows Explorer when double clicked.

Obviously that makes Directory Opus suspect for not coping with
something in one of the updates. Restore the pristine Macrium Reflect
copy of Windows that you made just before using Windows Update and
install fewer updates if you want to keep Directory Opus.

Thanks John, that's exactly what I did except my pristine backup was Acronis
made 3 days before the updates.
